We offer corporate team-building days working in our permaculture Forest Garden. This is an opportunity for your company to learn about new approaches to sustainable farming and low-impact living and to support the Quadrangle Trust’s charitable work with refugees, inner city children and raising awareness of climate change and ecological degradation.
Designed in 2010 the Forest Garden now has over hundred young trees – apples, pears, plums and autumn olives, and fruit bushes – gooseberries, raspberries, red, black and white currants. It is used as an outdoor classroom and has started to produce food for youth groups, charities and the many workshop and events that take place at the Quadrangle.
Under the supervision and guidance of our permaculture teacher in residence Kevin Mascarenhas and landscape historian and trustee Deborah Wolton your team will be introduced to the design principles of permaculture and spend the day outside working.
The programme, which varies according to the seasons and are tailored to suit the interests and skills of the volunteers, would include some or all of the following:
And depending on the weather – swimming in the river, having a picnic or bbq on the lawn or something hot beside the wood burning stove in the yurt.
A team day with us can be part of an ongoing partnership with the Quadrangle Trust or a one-off event. We use corporate volunteering as part of our fundraising initiative and as such charge for the day trips.
We charge £50 per person with a minimum charge of £500 per group. This covers lunch, all staff time, equipment and tools.
